Guardianship

The guardianship process is a great solution for adults with developmental disabilities that meet the following requirements:
  • They are unable to understand and sign estate planning documents
  • They do not have one of the following developmental disabilities - an intellectual disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Spina Bifida, Prader-Willi, Down syndrome, or Phelan-McDermid syndrome

Making the decision

Based on the requirements explained in this section, do you feel like the guardianship option is the right fit for the adult with developmental disabilities?
