A Partner that Can Help

There are several options to legally help make decisions for an adult child with developmental disabilities.  These options allow parents to have the necessary authority to continue to assist their children with decision making once they have turned 18 years of age.  However, each option is not appropriate for every adult child's situation.

This is where Turning 18 can help.  We are a free non-profit service that can guide you through the process of finding the right solution for your adult child with developmental disabilities.

Our site was built with the help of advocates that have many years of real world experience in this area.  We are committed to helping you find the option that allows an adult with developmental disabilities to have as much freedom as possible while having their critical needs met.
